We were all set to go to Chepstow but the weather had other plans.  There would have been a strong headwind most of the way home.  Paul would have been OK with this but Cambo would have become quite tired, and so instead we went for a round trip up … Read on →

Well, looks like the last post was when the clocks went back.  They went forward again yesterday, so I’ve missed the whole of the winter.  Loads happened during the winter too – just wish I could remember what.  Certainly, I bought some new lights – review another time – and … Read on →

The clocks go back tonight.  Went out for an early morning constitutional with Mike and James, leaving at 7am in the dark.  Found the last missing bit of Route 33 through Long Ashton, then through the park, under the Cumberland Basin and along the river to Avonmouth.  Crossed the bridge … Read on →

Felt like an early evening climb up to the airport. Climbed up the steep way, and when we got within sight of the airport, we turned back and went home. Paul was ok, but Cambo was very tired. It’s much easier on the way home, and much quicker too.

Lovely morning ride – Dark and misty 7am start.  Went into Bristol on the Festival Way, and around the floating harbour looking for a coffee.  Nothing open before 9am on a Saturday, so up to Clifton to Boston Tea Party for coffee and a croissant.  Back across the Clifton Suspension … Read on →

Major headwind today, and the weather started very wet. Set off across whatever benighted moor we were staying on, and gradually descended down towards the A roads. Crossed the A38. Considering the headwind, and the fact that it was mostly A roads it was a very good day. The roads … Read on →

Great day mooching across Dartmoor. Still a headwind today but really didn’t matter as I was just bimbling. Took more pictures today than I did all the previous week. Dartmoor was magnificent and was a lovely ride. Also a great descent into Tavistock. The second half of the day included … Read on →
